The way that this is worded confirms the existance of other Gods,
It does not say that there are no other Gods just instructs you not to worship them, so why to believers of the three major relgions (Judism, Christianity and Islam) which all believe in the commandments as the word of God - deny the existance of other Gods?

This is the first commandment, actually. Just to clarify.

Actually, the commandment DOES say that there are no other gods -- that's why we're not to worship them. We're not to worship them because they don't exist.

Elsewhere in the Bible, it says that there is only one God, and it says so quite plainly. For example, John 1:1 refers to God as being the only one.

There are several references to other gods in the bible ....

Genesis 1:26
And God said, let us make man in our image.

Genesis 3:22
And the Lord God said, Behold, then man is become as one of us, to know good and evil.

Genesis 11:7
Let us go down, and there confound their language.

Exodus 15:11
Who is like unto thee, O LORD, among the gods?

Exodus 22:28
Thou shalt not revile the gods.

Exodus 34:14
For thou shalt worship no other god: for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God.

1 Samuel 28:13
And the king said unto her, Be not afraid: for what sawest thou? And the woman said unto Saul, I saw gods ascending out of the earth.

1 Chronicles 16:25
The Lord ... is to be feared above all gods.

Psalm 82:1
God standeth in the congregation of the mighty, he judgeth among the gods.

Actually you have to understand what the Bible means by that...and what that is essentually is "idols". He in NO way admits to there being other "gods"! He says he is "The One" The "Alpha and Omega". What He is talking about is things like when the people of Israel built a golden calf out of gold and worshipped it! There is no other! There is only one...and He is God!

The bible is full of contridiction and the world full of people eager to excusse them, if a book, suposedly the word of god were to be so divine i doubt human intervetion would be needed to understand it. if god is so great why cant he even dictate a book properly.....

You could read into what this means but it is more than likely translational error. The meaning of words in one language do not necissarily bear the same meaning in another language/culture

No it just says you dont make anyone else your God by worshipping or honoring them or it more than God. For example when you decide you will steal something even though God has said not to you have just made yourself your own God.

pal, that's concerning pretend gods a million) in faith 2) in each day life. we are now to not placed something between us and the authentic God of creation. This includes the gods of different religions. someone's vehicle will be a pretend god. Their money. Their repute. Their fulfillment. With some human beings, their minds and their pretend mind are their god. You call it. someone who's searching for truly to serve God will search for to placed this stuff contained in the perfect position in life. reliable luck. P.S. one extra element. the most sensible pretend god, with the exception of devil himself, is the vanity of guy. That element of the self that should be worshipped by different adult men. The Apostle Paul noted this as "the former guy."

First, let's agree that God is not a name, God is a title. In polyathism, there are many Gods. Some people worship cows, all cows, so they have many Gods. For us, Abraham followers, we believe in on God, that we believe he's the true God.

It's an acknowledgment of idols. It's not a denial. The commandment is against idol worship.

See Psalm 135:

15 The idols of the nations are silver and gold, the work of men's hands.

16 They have mouths, but they can't speak. They have eyes, but they can't see.

17 They have ears, but they can't hear; neither is there any breath in their mouths.

18 Those who make them will be like them; yes, everyone who trusts in them.

the second commandment was given to moses from god, alledgely. it is christianities way of dominating the populace. it is not aimed at religions such as judism and islam. as at that time neither of those religions were in existance. it was aimed at the people who were pagan.

That is an example of convoluted logic. It doesn't affirm the existence of others Gods, it just says not to put anyone or anything before God, dumbass.
