I have extremely thick, coarse hair, and I've seen this device before.

I think it looks like a combo between a comb and scissors.

Walmart sells these in the hair care section with all the hand mirrors and hair brushes, but it is best to watch a professional do it at least once before attempting, otherwise you might take out too much hair or do it unevenly. But good luck.

It looks like scissors with missing /broken teeth in between. Like you, I've v thick and coarse hair, so I bought one to thin my own hair in between seeing my hairdresser. First, watch how the hairdresser do it tho!

It's called thinning scissors. They have teeth, like you mentioned.

i'm not sure what you call it but i know what it is... just call a salon and ask them. They should tell you.
