she's 8yrs old & she came home today with what looked like pinkeye but when i looked closer the eye isn't pink inside but is very red around the eye.she is saying it feels very itchy & very weird.please help i don't want to go out & buy her pink eye stuff then have her eye get worse cuz i treated it with the wrong thing.i wuld take her to the dr but there is a big snow fall right now so that's not an option either.i don't drive so.any ideas to what this,wuld be really appreciated.thnx alot.

A dose of Benadryl will not harm her -- and if it is an allergy, the symptoms should begin to clear up or improve.
If you see no improvement, head off the doctor (unless you are sure it's pink eye). Pink eye is pretty distinctive, so if it's not exactly as you would expect, consider a doctor.

I'm not sure whether the 8yr old in question is alergic to kittens, or has some infection of the eyes. Neither can you be without someone trained and qualified to make this decision. Sorry. Remove the kittens and see if she clears up. That is one thing you CAN try.

Give her a decongestant like you would for a cold, It sounds like an allergy.

take her to an allergy dr they will test her,it's not gonna matter about the cat it will have to go
