It's been so long I sort of forgot how to.
I think melt some butter, put marshmallow, stir til it melt, add a pinch of salt add the rice krispy and mix it. Then put it in the freezer for about 15 minutes.
Am I right? If not HELP!!!

Rice Krispie Marshmallow Treats Recipe
Home

Almost everyone loves Rice Krispie Marshmallow Treat bars. This recipe for Rice Krispie treats is an older recipe that makes bars which don't fall apart easily (compared to the recipe on today's boxes).
These are always a big hit at work; they're usually gone in record time.

Ingredients

1/4 cup regular margarine or butter

1 6-10 oz. package regular marshmallows (about 40)
OR

4 cups miniature marshmallows

5 cups Kellogg's Rice Krispies cereal

What to do

Place a small lump of margarine into a paper towel and use to grease a 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan, then wipe the pan off with a dry paper towel. This will keep the bars from sticking to the pan when they are placed on it.

Measure margarine into 3-quart saucepan; melt over low heat. Add marshmallows and cook, stirring constantly, until marshmallows are melted and mixture is very syrupy. Remove from heat.

Add Rice Krispies cereal; stir until well-coated.

Spread warm mixture in the greased 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan. Using waxed paper or buttered spatula press firmly into an even layer. (I normally use a butter knife to do this; dipping the knife into a glass of water occasionally will keep the Rice Krispies from sticking to it as you shove them into the pan)

Cut into squares when cool. (This is normally about 10 minutes after placing the mixture into the pan.)

Results
24 2-inch square bars.

Other Ideas
Flavored marshmallows (usually the ones that are green, orange, etc.) may be used to change the taste of your Treats just enough that it will be noticeable.

For Christmas, consider using the red and green colored Rice Krispies that normally are sold around Christmastime, to give your bars that festive holiday appearance. :-)

Don't keep them in the fridge. It will make them really hard. Keep them in zip lock baggies in the pantry and make sure you get the extra air out of the bags. Rice krispy treats tend to last a while, so you don't have anything to worry about.

you dont have to freeze it. the fact that marshmallows are solids at room temp. means that you dont have to put it in the freezer. just weight for them to cool.
