Find out what her favorite store is and get a gift card from there. Bath and Body Works is one my mom likes, but there's plenty of other ones that sell gift cards, or you can get an online gift certificate from a website like Victoria Secret or Amazon.com that I'm sure she will love.

Do you have a pharmacy with a gift section. If so you might find some bath sets or a nice photo frame or a candle holder. If you know of a DVD or CD she likes that's an idea. Also, there's store gift vouchers and perfume. Another idea is a scrapbooking or card making set. I bought an Anne Geddes Scrapbooking set for $17 which has the album, pages, stickers and embellishments all inside.

Perhaps a gift that is closer to the heart, like a christmas ornament, letting her know you intend to buy one every year. Something that she wont be able to forget. I think just being there for Christmas is enough, and most parents agree that it's more important for the kids to have a good one. Do the dishes for her, take out the trash? Some duties she usually does so she can kick back on Christmas.

Don't spend a dime on her... Write her a long letter thanking her for all the good things she's done for you, taught you, possibly even sacrificed for you... It's a month away, so you have plenty of time to go indepth and elaborate... Put it in a box and wrap it extra special... Have her open your present LAST...! Have her read it out loud - watch her face and listen well to her voice... This is your chance to REALLY touch her personally... Don't miss it...!

If your family has a tree in the house for Christmas buy her a special and unique Christmas tree ornament. It will be used and remembered for many years to come. And eventually, it may be returned to the giver, to make many more memories for years to come. Hallmark stores might be a good place to start shopping.
