The veins on the underside of my wrist( the part under the palm of the hand) usually hurts a lot. I saw my doctor about it and he said that it's in my head and never heard of such a thing. I know that I'm not making it up since I've had it since I could remember which was 1st grade all the way to now. Now I don't feel as much pain but if I put pressure on it, it feels a little bit better and also if I shake my wrist for awhile. I'm Anemic(not having enough blood in the body) could this be the reason for this? I'm also always cold even though I live in a very hot place I still have to wear a jacket. Sometimes I can also feel blood rush in my veins it's pretty cold feeling. I'm pretty sure that it's not normal to feel blood in your veins. I'm not overweight and eat healthy infact I've always been muscular even as a child. Please help! I eat fast food at least once a month. What's wrong with me?

I have Rheumatoid Arthritis and I too have pain in my veins in my wrists, For nearly a year I could feel it all the way up to my shoulders.

I am attempting to avoid medications because of side effects. I too am anemic and have been most of my life. I had my thyroid checked a year ago and am on a small white pill for my thyroid. The always cold thing went away and seven years of depression went away in one month. So the thyroid test and possibly a new Dr. would be a good step.

About two months ago I decided to start a heavy schedule of vitamins and am feeling
ENORMOUSLY better.

Try getting a HIGH QUALITY MULTI VITAMIN WITH IRON . Take one morning and night for a while and see if you notice any difference.

I personally am taking Acidophiles, B complex, biotin, Ester C, D, E Gin sing, Fish Oil,Niacin, Iron, (I think that is all, I also take the Multi Vitamin to pick up on what I am missing.)

I feel day and night better than I did 8 weeks.
I had been nearly bed ridden for most of a year with the knee and wrist and low back pain.

When I get up in the morning and my wrists are bad. I put my arms over my head and the blood drains out of your hands and helps the feeling for me anyway.

Good Luck.

The fact that you eat fast fod occassionally does not make any difference. That you are anemic does. (by the way, it's not that you don't have enough blood in your body, you dont have enough iron in your blood..I would suggest an iron supplement and leafy green veggies). Has your doctor checked you for carpal tunnel? That could pain your wrist area. Try putting on a crafter's hand brace and seeing if that doesn't make a difference. Also, you're cold because you're anemic and you might want to have your thyroid checked to make certain it's working correctly. A low thyroid can make one feel very cold. Good luck.
