Most countries that are bilingual are that way because they are small and have other countries on close by that they need to do business with. Look at Europe, They have a dozen languages in less than the area of the US.... Using Europe as an example again. Where the Muslims have not assimilated into the general population, but stay separate even to language.... there are serious problems.. France is burning as we speak.

hmm..i think a bilingual country would only make them better as long as they're fluent in both languages. i know there are the islands in the pacific that speak both english and the language native to that island. there are plenty of countries in south america and africa that speak both english and their own language too.

I don't think everyone should have to learn another language to live in their country. And think how many languages we would have to learn to be fair. Not just spanish.
