When I go 2 buy the turkey every year, its frozon and heavy

Oh yeah, they're heavier! There's all the extra parts and feathers that have been cut off. I couldn't lift a live turkey at all!

Yes, it's that heavy.

Freezing it has no effect on the weight, so long as nothing was added. In fact, it should be lighter, since it's now missing it's feet, head, and feathers.

Most hens are killed at 15 to 22 pounds live weight, not sure at what weight toms are killed.
