That’s just what the original christians (the gnostics) believed (and still do). To them it was Jesus’ life and teaching which “saves”, not his suffering and death. All this god-men and miracles and eveyone’s-a-sinner and virgin births and crucified saviours of the world business was added by the Romans. Do some research, it’s all there.

There's so much confusions about the Bible in general that is hard to understand what any body is really saying when they use any of it terms. 99.99 % of any common Christians don't even have a single clue about the origin and meaning of the biblical terms and symbols they're using. For example, The Christ originally was never seen as a person just like today we don't see the tittle Dr. as a person tho they're persons who are Dr. The Christ is not some thing to be accepted but to evolve or to grow to it. The Christ used to be a tittle for an special type of being, unless you become that of person, to believe literally every single dot and coma in the New Testament will not make a dent in the future of your soul. It is extremely vain and ignorant for any body to say that one who doesn't accept his own particular interpretation of Christianity is not a Christian. Since no body has the key or the monopoly on the subject, you can make your own interpretations and still call your self a Christian. Who really has the authority and the morals to say you are not...? I don't accept any of the rubbish preached up to day about Christianity and I dare any body to prove me he or she is a better Christian than me. I say the same thing about the rest of the so called religions. Any body who believes to be a Christian should read a book by Tomas de Kempis: "Imitation of Christ".

A person is not a Christian if they do not believe in Jesus Christ. Look at the word CHRISTian. That is what Christians are, followers of Christ.

Christianity is about "Christ" of Jesus Christ.
"Christ is the end of the law": Romans 10:4
The end of the law is thereby the end of sin.
For only the law imputes sin: Romans 5:13

Christ is the "Saviour of the world": John 4:42
So the 'personal Saviour thing' is partiality.
Neither God nor Son of God have partiality.
And even the Herodians knew that much.

Eternal salvation is "through Jesus->Christ".
Such end focuses on "Christ", not on Jesus.

To wit, "that God" was in "Christ" reconciling the world
(that God was not in Jesus alienating the world: 2Cor 5)
And "that God" in "Christ" did NOT impute sin to anyone
For sin, when it is finished, brings forth death: James 1:15

So law imputing sin for the hell of it is as antichrist as it gets.

Bottom line is you all are saved(only) by grace(only):
The GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.

No. To be a Christian you must believe in the things of Christ. He died for all mankind and loves all people. Read the gospel of John, Jesus will answer all your questions better than I can.

As a Christian you must believe in your heart that Jesus died for our sins. You must also accept Christ as your personal Lord and Savior. It is scripture so you muct accept these facts. God bless.

You'll get many answers to this, religion as always being very difficult and heated to discuss. I would say no. I describe myself as a liberal Christian, I do believe that Jesus died for our sins, not sure about going to hell if you don't accept that, don't think that is the case.

I believe you go to whatever heaven you believe in by being a good person, I don't go along with all this hellfire and brimstone rubbish.

No. One who is a Christian believes that Jesus is the son of God who died on a cross and rose again, and is the only way to salvation. The person who has repented of their sins and believes in Christ is "born again". Without doing any of these things, you are not considered a Christian.
