I haven't seen that many bar fights -- and I've never been in one myself -- but I have seen a few, and none of them were ever caused by religion or politics.

Usually, they seem to involve two guys fighting over some minor slight, or fighting over a woman.

I use to be a bartender, and the reason these two subjects cause fights is because when people are in the bar, they are drinking alcohol, most of the time in large quantities. The more they drink the drunker they get and the more they feel they are right (drunk people are not in their right mind). After awhile, they argue so much that sometimes it can turn into a fist fight. Then it gets the bartender upset and they kick you out of the bar.

When people get drunk they think they are the toughest, the richest, and they think they know everything!

any excuse to cause a bar fight. If not that one it can be anything when the booze gets into you. You just don't remember why the next day. So blame anything.
