Does anyone else get those really strong, loud, painfull hiccups. I sound like a chicken about to lay an egg! my husband wont stop laughing! They HURT!

There are many "remedies" for hiccups, but the one that works for me is, having somebody ask you STERNLY "Do you really want to have hiccups?" and when you answer no, they're gone!

My mom and I do then my brother and dad will start cracking up and imitating us but weirdly it's not funny when he does... But try eating a spoonful or peanut butter, drinking water slowly while breathing in carbon dioxide from a glass, or hanging upside down and holding your breath as soon as you hiccup then get up and try again.

have you tried drinking water upside-down? or holding your breath to the count of 25 or more? or breathed slowly?
hiccups are just a sign that you aren't breathing right. like if you stop breathing for a second or so, it'll make you hiccup. asme with if you breathe to hard.

Sounds crazy but I shot of sweet and sour always does the trick

Yes, I get them too. They sometimes go away if a calm down and breathe slowly. Other times they will only go away when I go to sleep.

Yes! I get them just like that, they really get on my nerves, I think they happen when you eat something too fast. They do hurt and they sound stupid!!

yes ihave had them before, try taking a spoonful of sugar and drinking a glass of water .
