Isles of Scilly, just off the coast of Cornwall. I lived over there for a few months and apparently its one of the best places in the uk to go for new year, everyone gets dressed up etc... Only draw back is it can be very expensive. Depends how much money you have to burn!!

We booked three days in a cottage last year and it was awesome. Going back this year. Cost about £150 per couple I think plus food and drink.

how about getting the Revd Sun ji Moon in for a mass marriage ceremony - taking one last look at the sunset - then drinking long and deep from the mulled wine of the sweet hereafter...the gentle sobbing of 'auld lang syne' drifting in and out of your consciousness as you lose control of your bowels
or you could go to Cardiff
Personally I'd go for the former anyday over Cardiff

If not bothered about travelling how about Disneyland Paris. If you fancy that contact a travel agent and ask about Leger or Diamond holidays visits for that period.
