They are attributed to various saints, and I am not among them. No one has ever attributed anything to me, even though I myself am a saint. Would someone please attribute something to me?

Actually most if not all the books in the bible are written by known authors. These authors are in the Bible. Some had to dictate their writings (inspired by the Holy Spirit) to people who were litterate because like Peter, he was illeterate, but the words are from God given to those specific authors.

As for the point of someone about the many versions, that has nothing to do with the authors but with later translators. But God speaks His Word to anyone who seeks it and read it, through the Holy Spirit.

No, the epistles are letters written to the congregations of other cities by the saints. The gospels were written by the saints named. Moses wrote down the oral tradition in the first five books of the old testament. Other prophets wrote the rest.

It's true for certain books, but not every one, and it doesn't matter.

The books that we call Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts, Hebrews, and 1, 2, and 3 John have no verse in it to tell us who wrote it. They didn't sign them. They didn't put there name on the top of the page.

How do we know who wrote them?

Tradition. It's not a four letter word.

No, the authors are well-known. There are a few books here and there where some theologians disagree but have it narrowed down to just two potential authors. There were more than 40 authors.

Actually, all the writings in the Bible are attributed to God. God's holy spirit moved men to pen the words, but they are God's words to us.

If the Bible were submitted as evidence at a trial, it would be thrown out as 'hear-say" evidence...

The Bible is interpretation...not fact...so who cares who wrote what is essentially Santa Claus for adults...

You know...Santa doesn't exist...and neither does God...nah...you get it, right? IS ANYONE HOME!

Still a good book though...
