My cat recently had kittens, two have both eyes open completely, the third has only one eye open, the other is still shut. Is this normal? They are 12 days old.

hey, well when my cat was a kitten, i got him from a couple days old too and he had one eye shut too and could barely open both, it took him some weeks. but just in case if your kitty is opening one and not even trying on the other eye, you should take him to a vet to see if he's alright, its always best to be safe then sorry. God Bless.

This is quite normal. Some kittens and puppies are slower than their litter mates in opening their eyes. Everyone's eyes should be open in a day or two.

Hope this helps. :-D

This is very normal. One day you'll check on the kittens and all eyes will be open then next thing you'll know you'll have kittens every where!

yes. little kittens sometimes keep their eyes closed for a long time. my cat had kittens once and one of them didn't open it's eyes until it was three and a half weeks old.
