I currently own a Casio EX-Z1000 and absolutely love the quality of pictures that I am able to take, using such a small camera. I would only love to be able to get a little more optical zoom, are/is there currently modification kits, or way of upgrading the lens system to perhaps get a little more zoom? Price is not an issue, simply just wondering if there was a way. Thanks for any help!

Casio doesn't list a teleconverter as an accessory for the Z1000: http://www.casio.com/products/Cameras/Exilim_Zoom/EX-Z1000/accessories/
And this camera doesn't have a lens thread, which would make it nearly impossible for anyone else to make one for it either.
On the bright side, you have 10-megapixels, so cropping shouldn't be a problem.

If the camera does not have interchangeable lenses (you can remove the present lens) then there is no quality upgrade option. If the front of the lens is threaded to take lense shades or add filters, then you may be able to find screw in lens adaptors that will change the base size of the lens (50 mm to 80 mm). You can check for these through a camera shop that caterers to professionals. If you can change lenses then you are away to the races. Just contact Casio or go to the camera store.

Casio EX-Z1000 has a fixed lens so you will have to purchase filters or lens convertors. Lens convertors come with diffrent config from 1.4X to 2X. This will increase the focal length but remember this will also cut down on light reaching the camera so shooting speed goes down. A 100mm f 4 lens will become 200 mm f 8 with a 2X convertor.
