If you want true forgiveness you first have to say to yourself I will never do that again and if you can than you are forgiven. Remember God gave you undeserved Kindness. He forgives faster than we forgive ourselves. That's what Undeserved Kindness is. No one deserves God to forgive him He just does.

if you are rebuked for doing a wrong thing to someone then if you know that you are guilty you should accept the rebuke with humility and in the same humility forgive yourself too, this is what God expects.

We are not commanded anywhere in the Bible to forgive ourselves; we are commanded to forgive OTHERS! It is a ploy of the enemy, (I believe), to keep us self-centered and self focused with this "how can I forgive myself"? doctrine.....ask forgiveness of those you have offended, ask God's forgiveness, and MOVE ON! Focus on trying to DO something for people each day and take your mind OFF yourself!
