would you agree that god is eternal ?
and would you agree that for a eternal being time would have no real meaning as in the fact that 2000 yrs for god would be a blink of the eye ?
would you agree that god knows everything that will happen in the future ?
if you answered yes to the last question , would you agree that 2000 yrs ago god would of known of modern technology that we have today for communication as he could see into the future ?

if for god time matters not and 2000 yrs is a blink of a eye for him , and he could of foreseen modern communication technology ,why not wait 2000 yrs till send jesus as he world would have been much easier to spread with modern communication means .

Surely that would of made more sense than sending his son in ancient times .

Better send God an e-mail, I think he may have made a mistake. LOL

Are you saying because technology is much more advanced these days that everyone would have followed Jesus? Simply because of better technology?

Jesus chose the Church to spread the Good News. Besides we have the technology now and many still do not believe. If Jesus were to have come now rather than 2000 years ago he would have been just as hated and crucified. That was the whole reason for his coming. To die as a sacrifice.

Yes, God is eternal. No, time has no real meaning for him. Yes, God knows everything. Yes, God knew that modern technology would have had an effect on global communcation.

Why, then, did he not wait to send his Son? Because he didn't. If God makes no sense to you, seek him so that you may come to know him--not so that you may pretend to sit at his right hand and tell him exactly how you think things should be done.

that would indeed make sense to some people (or even to alot of people)
but that does not mean that it made sense to God...

but some things we can argue about with human intelligence and logic
so following your presumption...when we say that to God time doesn't matter and we know that to man time does matter, aren't we already saying that we cannot question God because indeed He knows all things (past, present & future) & we have our own limited perspective (mainly of the present & some of the past which we have studied about).

but to answer your question:
God probably sent His Son during such a time when...
-roads & water routes were already built & established for easier travelling than ever before
-a major language was already in place (not unlike the English for today's generation)
-concepts of theological importance for people to understand the sending of God's Son were already in place
-& all these taking place in such a place in which at that time (& even today) is pretty much geographically the center of the known world...

I really doubt that you read the answers....

anyway

Bible says..
But when the time had fully come, God sent his Son...

In other words God is all about timing...

How then can you explain how it was predicted 400 years before that Jesus would die on the cross before death by crucifixion was even invented?

The chances of fullfilling the prophesy of His life and death is like

Filling a football field with 2 feet of Quarter coins
mark X one coin
have a blind folded person look for that marked coin.

God is eternal & he's All-knowing
this is something that minds don't realize..
but for those who speak about tecknology & think that man is a very strong creature & can be smarter or stronger than God... Man dies cuz of a virus which's not even seen... cuz he's limitid he can't hear all sound, he can't see all things & this was approved my scientist.. our power is very limitied & he's the stronger power who created us & other things... would we be able to invistigate him?
anyway for sending his son... I'm not convinced with this at all...but he sent many prophets along the time to tell ppl about him & wether we believe & be in heaven or don't believe & loose everything.

yes.
yes.
yes.
yes
Yes, but who today would listen to him??? Now, people are SO hurried and SO busy that many do not have time for church or God. Many do not WANT to know more about God. People today are SO stubborn. Could they say, "Well my ancestors have not had religion, this guy is OBVIOUSLY a fake. I mean, we have SO much these days that he could preform all those "magic tricks" with no problem." See what I mean? Besides, God has a reason for everything.

read the 22 psalm it describes What Jesus went through as he hung on the cross. the 22 psalm was written by King David roughly 1000 years before Jesus was born. Jesus had to come in the narrow window of time in which the Romans used crucifixion as a way of execution. When it is remembered that crucifixion was a Roman, not a Jewish form of execution, the proof of inspiration is irresistable.

Webber and Rice had Judas ask the same question in Jesus Christ Superstar this way;

If you'd come today
You could have reached a whole nation
Isreal in 4 BC
Had no mass communication

I do would agree that God is eternal ? and yes , The Bible says that 1000 yrs are as a day, and a day as a 1000yrs to God, so time is nothing to God as we would measure it..
but as for the rest of your question, well God knows all sees all, and I would not dare question how and why he did it the way he did..

To the first part of your question… if time does not exist for god, then there’s no “blink of an eye”, and no “future” so we can’t speak of them. Next, it would make no sense to send Jesus in modern times because it makes absolutely no sense for a perfect god to send himself to die to save his own creation from himself in the first place.
