wouldn`t it be better if we could just accept that we cannot prove that there is or not a god? Instead of mocking the ones that don`t have the same belief system, wouldn`t it be smart to concentrate on how we can get along and work together trying to help each other? it doesn`t matter how long we`re arguing we won`t agree if there is or not a god so why so much hate about it? Wjhy should we become enemies because a book tells us to? think about this people we`re gonna nuke ourselves up one day..

searching truth, if you studied your own religion you would know that the pentagram was evan used in the early stage of christianity, and the pentagram is considered the sign of the "beast" only when it is up-side down. To answer your question, i`m a free thinker i have the pentagram there only beacuse it looks nice.

Yes, if we want to really learn about the other religion ask questions instead of bashing the other person or religion. I think is the best way to go. Ask with out insulting or cursing which is very possible to do. I know cause I've seen many questions on here that have asked very nice religious questions on here that want to learn about other religions that aren't there own.

Funny how a simple question about tolerance shows that much intolerance among the answers. You even have the classic there's a pentagram that's a symbol of Satan response. Kind of proves your point.

It would be nice if people would learn that not everyone is going to believe the same they do, and even if you don't respect the belief respect the person. Maybe even learn a little about their system, not just form an opinion and then judge without knowledge, even when the knowledge is right in front of their noses.

But even from what little microcosm we have here, with the intolerance shown, even with the few from every belief that do understand and practice tolerance, to expect countries to do that on a large scale is sadly disheartening.

I love your question. I understand that some type of people need to believe in some thing even if there's not a single chance in hell to prove the reality and values for human life of that believe, even if not a single logical argument has ever been made in it favor.
Every mayor religion keep preaching there's only one God, the only problem consist that each one think its own God is the real one and those whose God has a different name and a different definition are going strait to hell. I think the right to believe or not should be defended, every body should be left alone to
believe any thing they want as long it doesn't adversely affect others, politicians should be banned from using religion for political gains. We have so many problems we need to work on and so many things in comon that to become enemie base on fantasies is not to wise.

Toleration is good ,but when someone attacks me,I have the right to defend myself,as much or as little as necessary, I view the constant harrassment I recieve from christians because of the way I dress(I'm Goth)and my beliefs(I'm pagan) as an on-going threat which is not likely to stop in my life-time.Their reasons for attacking me are founded on ignorance, which their religion not only encourages ,but DEMANDS of its followers, so they are not likely to "wise up" any time soon.I also find it amusing that christians treat paganism as though it were somehow a new-comer to the religious scene when our caveman ancestors were worshipping Nature in much the same way,and for the same reasons it is done today. On a lighter note I read your profile, and I have to say I didn't know there were occultists in Canada,I'm curious as to what you study?

Unfortunately, intolerance seems to be the default human reaction to ideas that are different from our own. Tolerance has to be learned, and takes a bit more effort. It's easier to hate or label something as evil, than it is to understand it.

Tell me, what is it exactly that you believe in? You have a pentagram on your profile. This is the sign of the beast. Do you believe in satan?
I am not here to hate, but to answer questions. Most of us are very tolerant, but there is one group in particular that is not tolerant of anyones beliefs and it is not the Christians.
The reason I asked you the question about the pentagram is because I use to use one and was practicing wicca and it ruined my life for awhile until I got away from it. I hope you will not be one of those too.

Probably sooner than you think. Most definately we all could be more tolerant. In order to get along though I think you will need to set religious affiliation aside and focus on the human aspects we all share.

I agree, we all need to be more tolerant. Just like those people who want to boycott Walmart for giving a few dollars to a homosexual charity and to be in the gay and lesbian chamber of commerce. why should it matter what charity Walmart gives to? that is no ones business.

everyone has a right to believe or not believe because of free will. as long as one does not go against the free will and rights of others and adheres to the laws rules and mores of the country one resides in what difference does it make.
