ok.. i plan to get my nape pierced for my first surface piercing..
and i know that it will hurt.. so it would be stupid to ask that..
so i just want to know how bad the pain is.. on a scale of 1-10..
please dont answer this question if you have something against body modification..i dont need your negativity and discrimination.. its what i like.. please dont judge..

and dont tell me to quit sticking holes in my body.. cos i dont tell you what to do..

im pretty tolerant when it comes to pain..
my septum hurted pretty bad..

would say about a 5 it is not too bad - like it hurts but it is not unbearable!

hate to put a downer on it.. my friend used to have one and while in place yes they are beautiful. but they DO reject (just like any surface bar really) and you will be left with a rather unattractive scar:(

i mean i would say go for it (as they are so pretty). but the risks and the scarring are something that has to be taken into consideration:(

your skin will probably form a keloid around the piercing and it will be sore and unremovable..which is pretty rubbish

hey! i want my nape pierced myself. i heard its just a pinch (read online) but i guess that depends how deep they pierce it. and your tolerance for pain. the only draw back i see as is that they are more prone to rejection which can leave to an ugly scar =(

let me know how much it hurts! and all! =D

Ya know....
You could put ambesol on it to numb the skin a bit. Doesn't get rid of all the pain, just takes the edge off.
You know, the stuff for when you have a tooth ache.
That's what I have used when piercing baby's ears.

hi, I have been given my 2d piercing finished approximately... 5 days in the past. It didnt harm as much as i presumed it may. believe me, its all on your head. Its in basic terms a pointy speedy nip. 4/10 yet a pair of minute later it doesnt harm in any respect. in a while interior the day it is going to harm somewhat, and your ear swells and is going purple. it somewhat is often mounted with the spray they provide you once you get it finished. Mine didnt provide me any, so i take advantage of organic aloe vera cream. It sooths it and brings down swelling. once you bypass to mattress try place your ear heavily on your pillow and are available across a cushty place. sound asleep is a discomfort for the 1st few days :P My ears are effective now. My precise ear is now and returned somewhat swollen yet thats because of the fact i sleep on that sie so lots greater :P solid success!

in saugerties theres a tattoo/peircing shop. they are really good. my sister got her nose peirced there. (unless you dont live in ny then i cant help you there)
