how do you determine good? If it makes the person feel good to do it then isn't it done really for the person giving rather the person recieving which nullifies the intent of good?

To me a good person is someone who are doing the best they can to get from day to day and are good team players, they don't take advantage of the people around them or expect something for nothing.

What exactly is the question you want asked? Good is in the eye of the beholder. Intent is essentially neither good nor evil to the receiver, the result is.

It means that they don't know people very well if they claim that someone is good.

All good comes from God, and God alone. Whether we acknowledge him as the source or not makes no difference in God's goodness. But our acknowledgment of him as the source certainly makes a difference in our perceptions, humility, and behavior.

To me, it means that the person practices being kind to others and they can generally be trusted.

Good means okay. Anyone who is good is okay, that's all it means. Don't read too much into it.
