my fiance and i are going to get married through court and then move in together. we are not going to have an actual wedding(in church) until our one year anniversary. would that still be considered living in sin???

the church does not marry people but only witness the marriage before God, the couple administer marriage to each other, marriage is one of the two sacraments that people have the right to perform, the other is baptism which any Christian can give to an unbaptised child or adult in danger of death.
so the answer to your question is no sin involved.

Marriage is marriage- I'm glad you are doing the right thing. And this is from a Pastor. I just hope that you go through some premarital counseling whether through a church or secular organization just to make sure you are thinking through the decision carefully. Congrats!

You would still be married in front of God and men/women. That's not living in sin.

That is the Roman catholic belief. The rest of us would say no, the important thing is that you are married.
