I have gone to many churches before. I didn't want in the churches that I went to, to be just religions. I wanted them to be a relationship with God and the truth. I looked EVERYWHERE!! None. A friend of mine told me about this one church. So I went to it. At first I thought they were all just fakers and that they weren't really true. Boy was I proved wrong when I experienced the same thing that they were experiencing. It was a Pentecostal church. I read in the bible and found out that what they were doing was lined up with the bible. I had always thought that, you know their organization had started in the I think it was 1900s or something. I was right. The orginization did start then but mean while they had been going around holding services and preaching the same exact thing, just not called Pentecostal. I thought this was pretty cool. Anyhow, don't take my word for it. Take GOD's!!

I was raised Catholic but found it coincided with none of my beliefs. I studied other religions before finally selecting one.
I chose Wicca, because it fit in with my beliefs the most of all religions: equality of the sexes, reincarnation, Rule of 3 (karma), the belief that animals have a soul of some type and its adherents are called upon to be guardians of the planet Earth. My other top two contenders were Buddhism (very similar to Wicca, but no actual God) and Judaism (because Jewish people, unlike Catholics, are encouraged to question their beliefs and religious leaders to the point where religious debate is almost an art form among them).
I believe that all religious paths are different routes to the same destination.

You could go to the Beliefnet website - an excellent source of info about almost all religions - and take their "Belief-o-Matic" inventory (it's free). You will get a list of about two dozen religions, each with a rating telling you how close your beliefs are to those of that religion. Then you'll be better informed as to which religions should appeal to you.

I had the opportunity to choose my religion, regardless of my christian father's faith,I chose paganism. If I had the chance I would choose it again. My deities don't threaten me with eternal punishment for scrutinizing them,if I wanted to choose another religion right now I could do so,without fear of celestial condemnation, there would really be no reason however,as paganism is pantheistic, and very flexible.I worship each and every god or goddess who appeals to me,and incorporate aspects of many religions into my practices,as i suspect many pagans do.

That was exactly my case. I was brought up in a non-religious home. I turned to Christ, convinced of His presence and of His invitation. No pressure from anyone. The people I was with, at the time, who were believers, didn't even know I was not one of them. I told one of them about it the next day.
Some of my family were a little concerned after that I might have gone off my rocker, but that calmed down in a short while.

My family was a non religious family and I initially chose baptist as that was the closest one that had a bus to come get me....I was only about 5 years old. I have tried several different religions and have finally decided to be nondenominational.

I chose my "religion" at the age of 28yrs old. I went against catholicism that I was raised in, and chose Christianity, because I knew the truth when confronted with it. BTW, it's a relationship, not a religion.....

I've had that pleasure. After looking at everything-and I mean everything...Christianity just made the most sense. It has historical evidence to back it up and there's still miracles happening today. So it was true then and it's true now. Makes sense-no pressure just truth.

No religion. I believe that religion was created to keep the "savages" in line. Now, it's just an annoyance or a reason to be hateful to your neighbors. Religion is a crutch, just be a good person and you should be fine.
