People can't understand the difference between an apostrophe ( ' ) and a comma ( , ).
People put commas where an apostrophe should be (i.e. "i,m") - I don't understand.........am I just too picky??

.......alright Joanne calm down!!!
I'm not particularly bothered about points, they're not real - you get no real rewards!!
It just happens that I seem to notice grammatical mistakes a lot, and am quite bored at the minute........

...........for your information, I am very chilled - just a bit bored so it seems, and curious as to why people cannot grasp simple grammar. Just a question - don't get too serious, seems you need to chill out mate.

no, you're correct - it's the rest of the world that can't seem to figure it out. I guess the average human is just too stupid to hold on to those concepts.

Being bored can get you into a whole lot of trouble.. ha. No, it isn't that you're too picky, it's only that some people don't care much for grammar now-a-days.. although they should. About the points, you're right as well.. but some people believe that the points are their life supports.. What has Yahoo turned us all into? lol, hope you find something to get that boring state out of you before people kill themselves over your question. *cheers*

I think this is becoming more common simply because there are fewer and fewer people who think that correct punctuation usage is necessary. Of course, in an environment such as this site, it isn't as important as in some other situations; however considering that in schools the subject is given less and less priority, I personally feel that it's a matter of self-respect to try to keep it correct. That is, as I said, a personal choice; I realise that to others it is not necessarily something they care about. Unfortunately I'm coming to realise that punctuation and grammatical correctness are not, in the anglophone world, important any more.

Even people who supposedly are used to typing make mistakes... I get mistypes all the time because I did not type strongly enough, or my hand was in the wrong place or whatever... and I've been typing for years, with both hands, fairly quickly, and not watching the keyboard all the time even, but mistakes still get made, so less skilled people must make even more.
