Sodium hydroxide type works the best on ethnic hair, and Ammonium thio glycolate, which is perm solution, is more conditioning. I have used the Japanese Thermal Straightening system and it is very expensive because it conditions the best but the results from the Sodium Hydroxide was straighter longer on all types of hair. Do not mix types. If you use one type do not use the other on hair previously done with the other.
