Why are we told illegal aliens only want a better life?

We are told illegals make 3 or 4 dollars an hour how can they send 300 a week back to Mexico. They are not working 23 hours a day. Most of these illegals take full advantage of not having car insurance they are almost always let go or use another made up id. How many of you think the illegal aliens are only here for the illegal aliens and have no interest in this country but only the free benefits they can get and they take full advantage of any program that offers free money, free medical care. Illegal aliens are stealing our jobs, making our taxes go sky high. Illegal aliens need to be deported. Let their country shoulder the burden instead of expecting America to cover all their expenses

*claps* I love it when another smart American comes on here. Now if only we could get the government to listen to us. If they don't, we will have to protect our borders on our own. The illegals come here and get paid over 10 dollars an hour working construction jobs and send a lot of that money back to mexico instead of putting it back into the economy they are stealing it from. They all need to be deported after all of their stollen belongings are taken from them. And by stolen I mean bought with the money that they illegally got from working in our country illegally. As to the people who are saying that they are comming here because their country is poor and they are starving, SHUT UP. To the people that say that we should go there and live there for awhile and see if we would come here illegally, SHUT UP. To the person that said that she hires an illegal to help her with her garden, i hope you get caught and jailed. If its so bad there, then they would take control of their government and make changes so that it isn't a pile of crap. If they don't have the guts to change their country, then they deserve what they get. You either live with it, or take the steps to change it, not come in someone elses country and ruin it too.

Illegal aliens are doing just fine. They are all not straving in Mexico and if Mexico is that hard up why isn't it reaching out to world to say we need food. Mexicans just refuse to work for the wages their country offers. This entitles them to break a number laws and people seem to feel sorry for Mexico and better life makes all crimes alright. But why is Mexico now considered more important than Iraq,Sudan. Illegal aliens continue to have kids they are not even able to care for but no problem the system is there to pave the way for 18 years. Illegal aliens have to do their part.

I'm not opposed to illegal aliens seeking a better life in America. But our government ought to first insure that Americans have a better life. Being an honorably discharged veteran, I witness practically everyday, former illegal aliens living a better life than I do. The emphasis should be upon the betterment of the lives of generational Americans first and foremost. The government of Mexico for example, ought to shoulder "most" of the burden for it's own citizens.

I read your question and i think i have an answer or maybe i might me able to help you a bit. Do you know how your country reached to its present Status as the greatest nation on earth? Through illegal aliens. Think how many africans were brought to america as slaves. Were they paid for their labor? Think about the families that were destroyed because of this, have your government ever appologise to these africans? You are blessed that you wake up everymorning, get a breakfast, go to school or work and come back in peace.I am from a country where this is a luxury to sit in a class, or eat a breakfast. Have you asked your parents where you came from originally? Whats about the Indians who own that Land, did they deport you? You need to look at life as it really is. These people do not want anything from you, they work hard to make a living and starve to send the little they make back home to enable their kids go to school and have one meal a day. If what you want should happen, are you ready to pay back what was taken from africa for all the years of slavery? Are you ready to give back the lands of the indians and go back to your original home? Then there would be no America and you would not be an american. Are you ready to sit under the sun for four or five hours waiting for a visa to visit another country? Count yourself lucky that you only need a ticket which you can purchase on credit and travel anywhere you want without obtaining a visa, count yourself lucky that you do not borrow money to come to america through the boats or hiding in the dark. Without these so-called alliens, would you be where you are today? Could you do the job they do?Please help America to shoulder their burden, they need all the help they can get. Infact, that was what the founding fathers wanted. A land free for all to live in equality and justice.

No true American wants to see anyone starving or living in unsafe or unstable conditons. But we also have an obligation to preserve the sovereignty of this nation, and that means we need to enforce our border laws. It amazes me how the Mexican govt insists we should have an open border, yet they have orders to shoot to kill when immigrants from poor countries try to cross their border. Did you know Mexico is the richest country in Latin America? Mexicans are coming in numbers nothing short of an invasion -yes, I said invasion. And the worst part is that they don't respect us or our laws at all. You would think an illegal would want to keep a low profile, but in my Texas city they drive big trucks and live in nice houses -they don't work minimum wage jobs. In fact, if you work in the service industry your job options are quite limited and becoming impossible to find. Professionals are going to be affected soon as well because we wil need more Spanish speaking doctors, psychiatrists, attorneys, etc.

A delightfully simplistic world view ... perhaps if America didn't screw over so many poor countries to keep you in High Definition Televisions, Gas Guzzling SUV's and Junk Food there wouldn't be so many desperate people trying to get in. Ever thought that America's liberal imprialism might be causing terrorism too?
Believe it or not, most people are like you .. they want a simple life where they can feed their kids and have a roof over their heads .. is that too much to ask? There are enough resources in the world to allow this to happen almost everywhere ... yet the greedy westerners who already have far more than they need take, take take and idolise the talentless, stupid and fabulously wealthy vulgorats in Hollywood ...
If we tried a little more to make the world fair .. maybe people wouldn't want to steal YOUR job ... I'm sure most immigrants to the USA would rather have stayed in their own country which may not have as much money but I'm sure has a hell of a lot more history, culture and dignity.

Congress, the Supreme Court, this administration, and all 50 states(while we still HAVE 50), have their work cut out for them.
I think the best decisions will be made if they consult with the citizens, the people that are going to end up having to live with the results...

I think alot of you need to step out of your comfort zones here in the States for awhile (and I don't mean a 2 week vacation).

After living on the border (1/2 mile to be exact) for 7 years and in one of the poorest countries in South America for several years, you come to understand just what "the American Dream" is to these people. And realilze too, that it no longer exists for most. But they see it on TV and the movie screens and those honest in heart (and there are very, very many of them) long to be able to give their families just a taste of what they see. Not much different from what we want to give to our children. Except for us, we just have to step outside our doors.

I think that most of you could be more charitable - and I don't mean giving money, clothes or food to the needy. Look up the true definition. It's a goal we should all aim to achieve in our lives.

I dont support illegal immigration.

However, there are jobs that I wouldn't want to do.

Most respectable jobs cannot be obtained/held with illegal IDs. Most illegal immigrants fill in the positions you wouldn't want. If there weren't any - you would be working construction and building value of our real estate property with your hard work for very little money. I myself sometimes go pickup an illegal worker for $7/hr to help me with my yard.
