My parakeet usually has green poop. Lately its been brownish, not red like blood, but its different. The poop is still basically like before, but the color changed. I don't know what's wrong! The parakeet has been acting the same, not puffed up or anything, but still... Also, I added in a tiny little cube of pellets to try to get him to be healthier. He seems to nibble on it sometimes. Could this factor in as anything? Thanks!

YES! If he is eating the pellets, it WILL change the color of his poo. Some birds like certain colors of pellets and their poop will reflect the color of pellets they are picking out ( if your pellets are mixed colors). I feed my african grey zupreeme fruit pellets as a staple, and his poo can be very colorful. If he gets fresh dark greens, his poo is more green. It IS a factor, so if your bird is asting totally normal otherwise, then I wouldn't worry.

Diet changes in birds affect fecal colour. Keep up the great work.
