And if you do, do you believe in it as a place of eternal torment, a lake of fire, maybe? Or do you believe it is merely the grave? And what evidence and logic do you use to support your belief?

The term translated "hell" in the Bible most often refers to "sheol" which is Hebrew for "hidden place of the dead" or something like that...basically, the grave. "Gehenna", another word that is translated as "hell" is an actual place...it is a valley outside of Jerusalem which was once the site of horrible and barbaric child sacrifices...
By Jesus' time, that valley had become a garbage dump. Not only was the city's garbage taken there, but also the dead bodies of animals, people too poor to afford tombs, and criminals with no families were also tossed on the heap. Fires were kept burning day and night, and you can bet the place was crawling with worms....
God promises that death AND hell will have their place in "The Lake of Fire" (see verses below). Since any Christian knows that death is to be completely destroyed, isn't it safe to assume that "hell" is also destroyed here? How can hell be the Lake of Fire, if it is tossed INTO the Lake of Fire and destroyed?
No, the Lake of Fire, or "Gehenna" is God's trash dump, and once there, all the trash will be burned up, and destroyed. This is the "second death"...no coming back from that one.

Rev 20:13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
Rev 20:14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
Rev 20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

I believe that hell is the common grave of mankind. It seems so obvious that it cannot be a place of torment because several times in the Bible, God tells us that the dead have no thoughts. If you can't think, you can't have pain or suffering. Also, Jeremiah 7:31 says that it never came into God's heart to burn children alive in fire.

A burning hell where sinners go and are tormented is not biblical! That Hell does not exist. The lake of fire in which the bible talks about is the second death, which is destruction for eternety. Hence fire destroys things. Satan and all evil people and demons will be thrown into the lake of fire, in other words they will die and never exist again. They will be deleted from God's memory. non-existance.

Hi, there is one definite thing that you can say about Hell that it is a place totally devoid of love, and can you imagine such a concept as this?
people who go to Hell have been by choice self serving and totally selfish with the gift of their life, they have had no time for a relationship with God and have used others to satisfy their own wants and desires, Heaven as we know is an eternal existence of love and as God is the author of love then Heaven is the opposite of Hell in this respect.
now all this is just common sense and really needs no evidence, but I think that Dante was of a similar mode of thought when he described his inferno.

Yes, I believe there is a Hell, and I believe there is a heaven..Hell is a place of eternal punishment, as Heaven is a place of eternal Joy and happiness..
Evidence ? Logic? all the evidence I have or need is the Holy Bible, after all I don't personally know anyone who has gone there and come back to tell about it.. But then you have to believe that the Bible Is The HOLY WORD OF GOD to really know that either heaven or hell are real..

Hell is temporary, until the Great white throne judgment (the judgment of the damned) -Revelations 20:11-15 where the unsaved will be reunited with their body and cast into the lake of fire. It is ETERNAL punishment.

Yes. Hell is not a curse word...it's a place. It's eternal. I can't say what it will be like...never been there....don't plan on going there. Evidence? The Bible...God does know.

Yes, there is a hell and there's a heaven... hell is a place of tournment....heaven is the reward for all of those who follow God...hell is for those who do not! What is the point of us being here on Earth if we all go to heaven...there has to be punishment for the bad and a reward for the good!
