I doubt that literally happened at any point in past history--it's a mataphor--a fable--I'd smack the authors upside the head

There is a scripture in the Bible that says that God requires that which is past, there are no such things as alternate time lines, even the world will be destroyed and former things will be remembered no more the scripture says, so what will be retained and what fogotten I do not know exactly but I know scripture supports the idea that culture will be retained, and I believe languages also, we shall rebuild the ancient cities, I believe it says that in Isaiah.

But if I could go back I would go back to 1860 BC Egypt around Luxor (Thebes), just before Joseph is released from prision and becomes Prime Minister over all of Egypt then later the family of Israel enters Egypt. I can't wait to go. Haven't figured out how I am going to build that time machine yet though.

The forbidden fruit was really knowledge, the creators didn't want Adam and Eve to understand where they came from, once they ate (took in/read) the knowledge, their eyes were then opened.

This tale is approximately humanity transforming into conscious of dying. there is an theory between anthropologists that reason why Eve delivers Adam the fruit (and why Pandora opens her container) is with the help of the fact women folk first made adult men conscious of the existence cycle. adult men might flow out looking and gathering and girls might stay at homestead doing homestead projects, and that that they had time to word issues, like seeds in plant life, pollination, then ageing and dying, and that they had relate it to their husbands. It compelled human beings to start thinking approximately day after today, and the day after that. in fact, mankind lost its innocence whilst it became self-conscious, for this reason the memories.

no, because in a sense by Eve eating " the forbidden fruit " brought wisdom and knowledge to mankind. otherwise we might be non-existent or just a group of babbling idiots.

The Adam/Eve story (IMO) is a just that: a story. It is not literal truth. So...would I want the writer to change the story?

Tempting. So much sexism has come about from people's interpretations of the story. That said, it is so easy for us humans to choose "sin" over God, and this story reminds us of that struggle. The story is true, but not literally true. Therefore it has value.

In other words...no. peace

The story of Eve and Adam is metaphorical, not an actual historical event.

I would have stopped the snake from beguiling Eve in the first place. That's where this mess started. Eve was just being courteous.

If possible, hypothetically, yes....I would go so far as to tie her with vines to a large rock - but the same would go for Adam. He was no weak man, and decided for himself to go along with his wife and a talking snake, rather than listen to God. I would slap them both. As far as Eve having sex with a snake!?! the bible says no such thing. And as far as it being God's plan? Nope, he created us with free will so that he would have "willing" servants. If we were all created as robots, that wouldn't be very compelling to say "Look, I'm the ruler of all these robots. They worship me as I created them to." being that God is love, he created us with the ability to love him back. Had he wanted drones to do his bidding, he would have created drones.

No. They couldn't multiply and replenish the earth until they did so. Remember, they didn't know they were naked until after they ate the forbidden fruit.

There is an old saying, "Confucious say, keep hands out of moving machinery". I would never do anything to alter what has transpired. God has a plan and it will work to its ultimate conclusion. I am waiting patiently.
