It's not like I'm planning to anytime soon, it's just that I would like to know how to tell them if I had to. They think I'm immature because I seem to not me interested in boys but I really am.

I don't really think you have to tell them who you like if you're not comfortable with it. Your parents might like the insight into your life and feel that you are more mature if you do tell them, (especially your mom) but it's really not necessary. Definitely tell them if you get a boyfriend though. Trust me, parents don't appreciate not knowing who their daughter is going out with.

for now just tell them you are interested in boys in general and you kind of like one. They need to know whats going on in your life. They know about things that can happen that you may not realize yet. We werent given parents just to be annoyed, they are there for a reason.

I think it is best to be very open right from the beginning. I have a 15-year-old daughter and I much prefer knowing about these things upfront. When we have had problems, it is because she wanted to hide something (and she readily admits that). Her preference these days is just to tell me. She's decided that works better.

Be outspoken to your parents. I think you will surprise them and they may even advice you how to handle him.

You are ok. Why do you need to tell them everything?
