My Mum and Dad friend wrote this song she siad she was lead by the Holy Spirit to write it and i feel it is so right, It goes like this

stay tuned for orders from above

That we set the captives free
and share with all the world his perfect love
So if your christian you must show it
If your christian Let them know it
If your christian lift up your sword and fight
For the enemy is near but we are marching with out fear
For were marching in the amy of the Lord

when this song said lift up your sword and fight, it is not talking about a real sword it is talking about the word of God. if you go to
ephesians 6 : 10 to 20 you will find about the whole armor of God

As a Christian, I find it frightening. I'm not comfortable in comparing my dedication to God and Jesus to being part of an army. I find it dangerous for a song to encourage Christians to "lift up" a sword "and fight."
Who are we fighting? Should we use violence against those who live differently than we do? Believe differently?
We will only "set the captives free" when we share God's love and compassion with others. We will only set ourselves free when we stop all the "marching" and fully open up our hearts to God.

Kinda wonder why Christ didn't adhere to your parents philosophy and lift his sword while hanging from the cross? Oh had, he had a different agenda----peace!!!!!!!!!!
