It is all for the purpose of opening your mind to question what you have been told or what could have been an changed to suit Power & Control of People
We all have the right to think for ourselves and to look for the answers that satisfies our minds
If it can raise and issue that would make more sense then what you have been told and lead to believe doesn't that say something to you?
Now if you balanced all the information you have
Looking at honesty and integrity and proof
What would you believe ?
What people want you to believe or what you feel would have more of a possibility?
Question everything in life and search for your own truth
That is why we are on our journey of life
To learn
And remember most of the information in the book or the movie was based on pure Facts : )
Love & Blessings

The story is fiction. In my opinion the movie is a sub par interpretation of the novel which gives a much fuller understanding of the philosophy and facts behind the story. The novel is based on factual places, written works, and symbols that have existed throughout history. But the way that they have been interpreted in the story is just one way they could be interpreted. And, there is no direct evidence that Jesus had or has a bloodline. It can only be inferred through symbols, written works, and historical research. I think it's good that it causes us to ask the question, but we must not accept any one answer as completely true and valid. There is simply not enough evidence to do so.

Dude, novels and stuff like that are great fun to read but you really shouldn't take them seriously because they're a) fiction or b) nonfiction that exaggerates. The Da Vinci Code is based on real stuff (bible, Opus Dei, etc) but is not real (at least not in THIS universe, hehe)

the Da Vinci Code is a fictional book and a lot of information was taken from another book called " Holy Blood -- Holy Grail. " by different authors. suggest you don't believe the book or the movie.

No actually the movie and the book are lies.
Jesus was here for one thing. To reconcile man back to God.
Read your Bible- and investigate the claims by Dan Brown- at least someone would then be looking for the truth & not a quick buck.....

It's fiction - even the author acknowledges it. It is based on a cult that started in the 1800's. Jesus had no progeny.
