It could just be itchy because you rubbed it on the sheet, or something; as you say, psychological. The consensus seems to be to get it checked, doesn't it? I understand your reluctance. Personally, I would wait until I had to go for something else, & then say 'By the way,...' but that's probably not good advice.
It's probably OK; problems come from sun damage, don't they? Once you've had it looked at, get a close friend to regularly check it for you! They could take a photo to keep & make sure there are no changes.

Yes please get it checked. I'm a GP and more than happy to reassure people about their lumps and bumps. I do not enjoy looking at sinister moles which people didn't come to me about sooner as they didn't want to 'bother the doctor'. Things caught early are much easier to cure. Get it checked for your own peace of mind.

sunlight could reason freckles and moles, and that they are many times no longer risky. just to be risk-free, you ought to flow to a dermatologist just to have it appeared at. you ought to flow very quickly because of the fact regardless of if this is cancerous, you ought to have it bumped off till now it spreads.

If you have never had it looked at, do so.
My understanding is if it changes color, size, shape, then go to a mole patrol doctor.
