I lost someone very close, and any faith of life after death was lost with him. I used to believe there was something more but after his death I started to question it and now Im in a very dark place where I feel death may be where it all ends. I know there is no way to get solid proof, but I would love to get the faith back I used to have. Im not religeous at all, never have been, but I used to believe in somkething after this life. Can anyone help me to get this back? Does anyone know where I can get as close to proof as possible? If you believe there is life after death? and if so...why?

The problem that is with proving the afterlife the only people who know it exists are those that die and go there. Thats why its called faith.
Question for You: After all your troubles, losses, falls, rises, triumphs, victories, loves, and the ups and downs that mark your life, how would you feel if after death you just go sploot and your life is a zit on the grand scheme of life?
Not a good feeling, is it? That's why people believe in the afterlife.

Your dealing with this the wrong way. Instead of trying to reinforce your delusion that there is life after death, you should come to the realization that in all likelihood there isn't. Many of us are quite happy to not believe in an afterlife. The real question is WHY do you feel a need to believe in life after death ? Life is valuable. AND NOTHING THAT LASTS FOREVER IS OF ANY VALUE. Think about it !

There is life before death so don't miss out on it worrying about a possible second helping afterwards. Anyway wanting more life is a bit greedy don't you think?... I mean where would it all end? Supposing you get your afterlife will you then want an after-after-life?

Short of death there is no absolute proof. Only those who have passed on know yes or no. As Jesus said to Doubting Thomas
upon his return from the Cross, place your fingers in the holes in my hands and my feet and place your hand in the wound in my side. Now you have seen and believe. Blessed are those who will never see but shall believe. It is a matter of faith in your creator. It is a difficult life for most but our faith gets us through.

The concept of life after death existed long time ago. Since the Egyptians who were not even religious people believed it that’s why they buried food and money with their Pharaohs when they died. The point is, if there is thought of life after death, then there is a life after death. It’s like saying why do you believe there is God when no one has seen Him. Well, the thought of there is something or someone out there makes me believe there is God.

There comes a time in everyones life where we have to know what we believe in and why. We can not be carried by someone eles faith forever. This is your time to know and the best way I know is how I did it. Of course there are many ways outside of my experience. Once I had the evidence I was looking for I never returned or wondered again.

I think it depends on the person that dies. Not all come back to people. I am not sure why some return and others do not.
Have you had the feeling before of being in contact with someone??
Helps if you believe, otherwise it is a lot more difficult.
But remember it is not for you comfort or help you to get over your grief. You have to do that yourself.

GREAT QUESTION! THERE IS LIFE AFTER DEATH. THE JOURNEY THAT WE'RE ON NOW IS THE TEMPORARY LIFE. WE'RE GIVEN FREE WILL TO CHOOSE AS WE WILL, BUT THE DECESIONS THAT WE MAKE WILL DETERMINE ARE FUTURE WHEREABOUTS. WE ARE PRODUCTS OF OUR ENVIRONMENTS AND THAT PLAYS A HUGE ROLE IN WHAT WE BELIEVE AS WE GROW OLDER. WHEN WE LEAVE HERE IT'S HEAVEN OR HELL, THAT QUICK , AND THERE ARE NO SECOND CHANCES. Well- to have faith means you have to believe in something or someone.
I lost both parents & I know I will see them again. How can I be so sure- The Bible- Jesus has promised me that I will.
One night after my Father passed away, I was lying in bed, and I felt depression as if a weight was crushing me, and whether you beleive or not, I heard the voice of God telling me I would see him again.
Now, I said whether you beleive me or not because your belief or non belief does not make it true or not. I know what I heard and I also know that the depression lifted off me and I stopped crying & went to sleep.
God is Real and He loves you.
Consider your question- Maybe He is trying to tell you to believe in Him, to trust Him. You can, you know. He is more trustworthy than anything else you will ever find.

i am so sorry to hear about your loss
if i may suggest going to a spiritualist church where they will have a medium working the rostrum at each service
watching them work will allow you to see who works well and who doesnt ... as they all work differently at different levels
and you never know you may just get a reading there and then ..
but if not , then you can make an informed choice as to wether you would like a private sitting or not given what you have seen from them
