lol that made me laugh bc my bf says that to me all the time. its not that we cant look before we sit but in the middle of the night when u ate half asleep and your brain is not working you just dont think about it!! jsut put it down its not that hard

I've given up on the whole toilet thing, leave the thing up then boys. It's like men have some defiency that prevents them from returning anything to the same state as they found it. My friend has an all girl house and when she chipped one of the men about this he went and removed the whole seat, cover and all.

I might forget, but I'm reminded when I walk in the bathroom and I open my eyes.
The only possible way I would sit on the bowl itself is if I'm blindfolded, if the lights are off, or if the seat fell off... in any case, I'd feel around to see if the seat was there, so it's not that possible after all.

Well, it makes it easier 30 minutes later.
I do like the WHOLE idea of the SEAT and SEAT COVER going down, that way girls get a chilling experience in the dark!

What a wonderful day for your question. My guys go outside since we live in the country. The lid is down just in case the baby climbs over the gate. The cats get mad because they like to go fishing. No man in this house has ever admitted to ending up with his rear in the water. Doni

Never, I don't see how it is possible not to notice something like that; however I do know girls that tell me they have sat down on toilet without the seat being down. It is very puzzling to me.

It's all about taking care of yourself. Guys just leave it up or down because they just leave it where they last used it. Girls should stop complaining about the damn toilet seat and just be mindful before they sit down! Guys have to (you know we sit down sometimes too)!!!

It's a two way street. Almost a catch 22. you want us to lift the lid, why don't you put it down or lift it after your done? As long as the guy has good aim, does it really matter?

No. But if there two men (or more) in the household, and one woman, the toilet will be used more frequently with seat up.
In such households it makes sense to keep the seat up as standard.

thats too funny! my BF is excellent for putting the seat down..I am so used to it but the other night he must have been half asleep so when I went in about 3 am I fell in..it was 30 degree's outside and my bathroom does not have the best of heat...lets just say I had a COLD awakening:))
