my husband reckons he is cold, now that he has retired he spends of his time sat on his pc, with the radiator turned nearly to full on, and the thermostat in the hall has got to be at least 71 or 72. Although I try and keep in one of the coolest rooms, I have still got my chores to do, and I get very hot. I can`t pass any comments, as he is one of these funny people, whom you daren`t say anything to, as he knows better than anyone else

Your husband needs to grow up and be more considerate. If you are doing the chores, you dictate the indoor temperature. If you get too warm, you'll become fatigued more quickly and perhaps dehydrated.

Sounds like you're stuck with an inconsiderate jerk who probably has an online addiction.

Do you not have a time clock to set your operating times for the heating and hot water, if you do there should be a selection to enable you to turn off the heating and just have the water on during the summer. If you only get water at the moment when the heating is on then as has been suggested you have a problem with a motorised valve. As there are several manufacturers of these valves and some work differently to others I would suggest you obtain the services of a good heating engineer to look at the problem for you. Some valves can have parts fitted to repair and some require a complete replacement.

It is much healthier to keep the temperature cool. Of course it can make you feel sick!!

Never put on your heater unless you are an icecycle.
