There is a phrase "I'd rather be alone by myself than be alone (in a relationship) with another. Who understands that phrase and is alone today but fine with it?

Some people feel very much alone when ignored by their boyfriend or girlfriend. They feel like they are not loved or liked and taken for granted sometimes. It is as if they do not exist and it is a very lonely feeling. I would rather be alone period than experience loneliness in a relationship because it is twice as bad since you care about someone but they don't care about you and it makes you lonely and empty and inside.

Im alone today but Im not lonley.. You can be lonley in a crowd..It is better to be home alone than to be home in a loveless relationship.. I love being alone most of the time but at times when things get a bit rough, you know when life kicks you in the A*se now and again I sometimes wish that I had someone there to share it with.. But I always get by these a*se kicking moments like three weeks ago when I buried my father.. You get the picture..

My version of the phrase goes as follows: "I'd rather be alone by myself than together in a relationship." I love singlehood too much to sacrifice it for a guy.

the phrase means that it is better to be single rather than being in a relationship that you are not really happy with..i am alone right now, i'm not saying that i am really happy being such but there are lots of ways to keep loneliness away..you will always wish that you have that special someone to spend your time with but there are also friends to laff & hang out with..Ã
