You know it's a shame kids give their parents a hard time. She is 12 years old. You run her up the walls don't let her run you. I would say she needs a good ole fashion whoopin'. Seems you've tried almost everything else. Good Luck! My God, I have just read some of the other remarks from others responding to this. To me it sounds like they are telling you to compromise with a 12 year old. I'll be D***. She don't know nothing you pay those bills, you buy her clothes, you feed her, you, you, you. You put your foot down and keep it there until she learns respect. It's better for her to learn from you than to learn from someone who doesn't give a darn about her. She'll cry now , but she'll thank you later.

Stay away from Bratz. They should be pulled off the market. They look like little hookers. I can't believe that women would actually buy those for their daughters, and then when they are 13 they complain that their "Little girls" are dressing like whores. Stick with plain Barbies, Care bears, My Little Ponies, etc.

Try to figure out what peaks her interests, if she likes certain tv shows like "That's so Raven or Hannah Montana" then consider giving her something related to that.
