You might have restless leg syndrome. You can look that up and see if you have the symptoms. Or, you're on your feet too long or possibly sitting too long. Would have to know what type of work you did...but if you sit for a long time, it will cause circulation problems that can become serious because the blood is pooling in your veins. Or, if you're on your feet all day long, fatigue will cause your legs to hurt. Hope you get some much needed rest today. See a doc if this continues, please. Godloveya.

The swelling and ache of the legs after a long days work can be due to prolonged standing, where the pressure of blood in the veins is raised. Leg veins depend on muscle movement to help push blood against gravity.
Warmers or wraps can help to ease the ache.

i see your problem here.. i get the same thing and it drives me mad! im on my feet most of the day which is propbly one of the main reasons why my legs ache. To ease them i tend to take advil or something similar like that. the only downside is, it takes like 15 minutes to start working and when it's really bad you want it gone! if his happens then i rub on wintergreen.. im not sure if you can buy it over here cos i buy mine in europe. aromatherapy oils work just as well like lavender and jasmine etc..
good luck!

Might be poor circulation. Do some leg stretches and angle weight lifts.
