I've heard that in the UK you earn more than in Canada, but is your purchasing power and quality of life better? Which place do you think is better?
The Uk is a powerful country, good economy, and you can go to Europe anytime you want, isn't it?

I'm English, I live in California and visit Canada frequently. I think Canada is the best of the US and UK. It has space and its people have a good attitude, they aren't ignorant of the world, they have socialized healthcare, their tv has real news and they have a vast range of climates. Asking what Canada is like is like asking what Europe is like, it's too big a place to describe in one go. The west coast, BC, has similar weather to the UK, but there's alpine skiing a couple of hours up the Sea to Sky highway in Whistler.
Anyway, there's more to the place than you can cover in an answer like this.
I love the UK, but I just can't stand living there any more. I couldn't stand the political rhetoric, the surveilance cameras and all the rest. The final straw was being told that on 30k per year I'd be being audited every year by the Inland Revenue and yet I still couldn't afford a house in Bedford where I lived.
Canadians can afford to live in their country.

I suspect that Canadians have a better quality of life. also more spending power. i would love to live in Canada, coz Scotland really sucks just like the rest of Britain.

As I have never lived in Canada I can't make a comparison.

Do you like 58,789,194 people spread over 244,820 km² or 30,007,094 people spread over 9,984,670 km²
Do you like fresh water or dirty polluted water?
Do you like skiing, wilderness, fresh air or do you like polo, overpopulation and smog?
Do you like hockey or soccer?
Do you like nice straight teeth or orange crooked teeth?
Do you want to be close to Americans or far?
Do you like Beers and Blunts or Tea and Crumpets?
Rain or Snow?
