In the Uk, there is no 'spirit of thanksgiving,' it's just not a special day for me and never has been! We have November 5th as bonfire night which is fun tho!

And I am thankful for things at Christmas, because to me it is a celebration of family and friends, no more.

Like most American bachelors, I find turkey to be impractical, and therefor celebrate with the bachelors thanksgiving dinner. (which consists of a bag of greasy fast food taco's, some supermarket apple pie, and a bottle of Quervo).

Not me either (another Brit). We had stir-fry after putting the kids to bed. Another regular old evening. Happy Thursday 23rd to you all!
lookn2cjc, could you do other Americans a favour and not assume that everyone else on the planet sees things through your eyes? I like Americans and the ones I like hate to be thought of as people who can't see anything from anyone else's point of view. There are only 350 million of you. You are a tiny minority in the world. Guess what! We don't observe 4 July either!

I live in the US, but i'm Hispanic and my family doesn't make a big deal out of Thanksgiving.. cuz in reality it doesn't relate to us... oh well.. just another day. I basically give thanks to God for the things i'm fortunate to have each and every single day, so i don't wait for Thanksgiving to come around to GIVE thanks, So i'm basically un-turkeying with ya...Happy Thursday November 23rd to you then lol. :)
*I'm not bashing on THANKSGIVING guys, just saying we don't celebrate.. hope no one gets offended, cuz i know how some of you Y!A users get all "touchy feely, don't you ever say that again!" from time to time.. *cheers*)

I am a Jehovah's Witness and we believe that we should be equally thankful on every single day and not just one certain one every year. I am not celebrating anything but God, life and family as I do every day.

Probably anyone who is not a U.S. American or maybe even the American Indians. I don't know about Muslims. They're probably too busy abusing their wives or planning to kill someone or destroy something for Allah.

Surely in the spirit of thanksgiving, you have SOMETHING to give thanks for......even if it's NOT an official Holiday.....
