The prayer that Jesus gave us is my all-time fave!
"9 In this manner, therefore, pray:
Our Father in heaven,
Hallowed be Your name.
10 Your kingdom come.
Your will be done
On earth as it is in heaven.
11 Give us this day our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts,
As we forgive our debtors.
13 And do not lead us into temptation,
But deliver us from the evil one.
For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen."
It's my pick because Jesus, the only Son of the Most High God, gave up His throne of glory to bring it to us when we were lost and groping in the dark. Jesus is Lord!

My favorite prayer is one that is personal and from the heart of the person saying it. Matthew 6:7 says our prayers should not be those of repetition and I believe that most people who pray the same things over and over are not even aware what they are saying to God.

Here is God’s taught prayer for those who want to secure the blessings of God in true sense.
PRAYER
By the leave of God,
the Beneficent,
the Merciful.
Praise be to God,
Lord of the worlds.
The Beneficent, the Merciful.
Owner of the each and the ultimate
Day of Judgement.
O’ Lord!
You alone, we worship;
You alone, we ask for help.
Show us always, the right way,
In each and every matter.
The way of those,
Whom You have blessed;
Not the way of those,
Who earn Your anger,
Nor of those who go astray.
Aameen!

"Don't give me anything I can't handle." Life is a challenge, 24/7, and all I ask my Guardian Angel is not to dump something on me that I can't deal with constructively with my own resources. (Christians and Muslims, substitute "God" for "my Guardian Angel" if you like.)

"Now I lay me
Down to sleep
I pray the Lord
My soul to keep
And if I should die
Before I wake
I pray the Lord
My soul to take
Amen" I learned it when I was really little. I think it's really cute when I hear little kids say it before they go to bed!

I drop my sadness into your ocean
and watch it sink from sight.
I place my anger on your broad Earth
and see it rot away.
I put my fears into your hands
and they are no more.
When you offer your arms to me,
Great Mother,
your hands hold nothing but love.
This one helps me endure the cruelties of corrupt humans.
