Maybe you could accessorize it for the holiday, with stockings, etc. I'm sure it will be fine. Happy Holidays!

A dress is fine for any event, but since you bought it during the summer, I wonder if it is going to keep you warm enough during wintry weather.

Stockings actually do more than some might think to keep your legs warm, but you may want to look into skin-tone tights to better insulate your legs if you will be outside more than in.

Keep your feet warm with fur-lined ankle high boots and wear a shawl draped over your shoulders under your coat. When you take off your coat, it is appropriate to keep the shawl on when indoors.

No etiquette problem with the dress. If you will be in a warm house all day, go for it. But if you have to be outside a lot or are visiting a relative who keeps the house very cool, by all means dress for comfort. People will notice your shivering and crankiness from being cold a lot more than they notice your clothing.

No! Find something to wear that is warm and attractive... like a velvet pants suit. ... ..be nice to yourself ... maybe a pair of suede
boots with fur .... don't you have the rest of it planned out?
Suppose it is snowing that day!! Do you have enough warm clothing that will make up an outfit ... a proper coat and gloves, and a lovely scarf .... a little "corsage" to wear on your coat..

Cara mia, you need to ask the Lord for more money! What a predicament. This will never do!

I wouldn't worry about what other people think is appropriate to wear for you to wear for Christimas. It's more important that you are comfortable and happy-WARM...lol...I'm sure if it's cold, you'll be covering up that pretty dress with a coat?? lol...

Save the summer dress, bundle up sweetie!

Tiff it is a very elegant occasion yes, but try going with pants or how about a skirt, you can actually wear knee high boots with them. But my advice wear a dress on new years not Christmas.

Yes, I always do. Get a pair of warm, stylish tights and a cute scarf to accessorize.

Wear what is comfortable and fits in with the occasion. Will you be overdressed in a dress?
