Focus on deep breathing and distraction when you are getting it done. You need to work on relaxing and know that the more tense you become the worse it will be. Slow deep breaths and it will be over in a second.
Good luck.

Oh jeepers creapers Needles can be very scary Ask if they can use a butterfly needle they use that on infants little babies . breath deeply and focus on something really kool like what did you get for christmas that you really enjoyed a favorite movie ? anything that will keep your mind off the needle thing The needle is really tiny and painless.I myself use the serenity prayer over and over again
God grant me the serenity to except the things I cannot change Courage to change the things I can.
And the wisdome to know the difference.
Then of course there is the yoga thing. The third eye.
Breath deeply and place your finger of your free hand on your forhead and lightly tap your forhead even pressure light even strokes while breathing yoga calls this your third eye. Colors will come to you keep tapping untill you see a glint of purple this is a good zone. a relaxing state trust me on this I know it sounds bazar It definatly works under stress. This is called a chie hope im spelling it correctly. According to youga everyone has whats called a shocker shockra My yoga may be a bit rustyand if anyone can add to this thanks However this should help you tremendously. Blessings

Ask them to use a butterfly needle. If done properly, you won't even feel the needle. And do what all the other people said, as well. You'll feel proud that you got through it when it's over. I think it's more the fear of the unknown that's keeping you from getting it done.
I had a fear of needles for years, but have to have my blood drawn every 6 weeks now. I'm so used to it, I can even watch as it's done now. It's not such a big deal anymore to me. However, I still hate to get a needle at the dentists. Those needles are huge!

trust me everyone fears this, but just don,t look at them putting the needle in, the nurses are professionals they do it at least 20 times a day, think a happy thought, once the needle is in the worst is over, for me I always have to give blood & it gets easier ever time, you,ll laugh after it,s done, it,s not so bad.

its not that bad, you can take someone with you for support. Don't look when they do it, the procedure will be over before you know it.
They do this many many times a day, and will try their best to help you through it.
Just stay calm and don't worry
Good Luck

I do too. Sweat, get dizzy and other general panic reactions. All you can do is focus on something else. I usually bring something with me like a farside comic book
