How much had you eaten beforehand? That has a BIG effect on how much alcohol you can tolerate. Had you drunk before coming out?

Also how much alcohol was in the drinks? If, for example you had 4 triple shots with mixer instead of four single shots, that will also make a big difference even though you're still having 4 drinks.

Despite all the hype about "date rape" drugs, most drink spiking is done by extra alcohol being added. If a friend bought you the drinks, maybe a few extra shots were added to what you thought you were getting (can even be added to bottles). If you bought the drinks, then either the bartender was being sneaky (you should watch them, or it was just a combination of factors e.g. how much food you'd had preciously, how hot the club was, whether you'd had a few drinks before coming out etc... that was making you feel the effect more than usual.

The other possibility is that there was one type of alcohol or drink there that you just couldn't drink. e.g. I can drink a Smirnoff Ice quite happily, but with vomit if I drink a Reef - both contain vodka, but for some reason I just can't drink the Reef.

I reckon you just had a bad reaction to the booze.

It has been proved that only a small percentage of people who said they had had their drink spiked, were in fact just more drunk.

If you are worried, go to your doctor in the morning and have a blood test,

Bottled drinks are easier to keep an eye on, as you can put your thumb over the top.

If you are out with a gang of mates, take it in turns to watch the drinks while the others go for a dance.

Be very careful in future, because if someone is out to get you, they may have another go.

Hi,I have worked in A and E for 20 years and it sounds like it to me.You could have gone to A and E,they would have done a couple of tests to find out such as a urine and blood analysis. My brother had this done and its not pleasant the way to avoid this in future is to never let your drink out of your site, keep your thumb over the bottle,or Tescos sell a device like a stopper that you put in you bottle. These come in a pack of 20 for about £1.00,I hope that you are ok now and my advice helps, kind regards amanda.

It does sound like it to me, i had it happen once and it was very frightening.
One minute i was in a club the next thing i knew i was in my flat with a strange fella ( not something i would normally do i might add ) luckily i made such a fuss he went off in a huff and i did not come to any harm ( but he had taken my phone number off my phone and i kept getting awful phone calls for a couple of weeks )
I do agree with someone who said you should inform the club you were in or the police ( someone else may not be as lucky as we were ! )

Had you eaten? Did you mix your drinks? Otherwise it sounds like something was put in there it happened to me but I was'nt aware of my behaviour til about 5 hours later, I threw up when I got back but then slept for over 12 hours not knowing how I got where I ended up the night before a dreadful experience I'd rather put behind me. Just be very aware of your drink when you are out. Take care.

spiking is so easily done, i had it done on me, if you are in doubt there are home drug testing kits available to buy, you do it just like a pregnancy test, dip into your urine it will show up any drug in your system, these are not neccersary expensive, although even if you get a positive result, finding out who has actually done this can be difficult, maybe it would be better if you took precaution by watching your drinks etc, this is a growing problem, take care especially over xmas.

Probably-yes, this sounds similar to the symptoms my sister had, we were on holiday and she suddenly started acting really strange after two drinks, there are too many opportunists ready to pounce, robbers, rapists etc, keep your drink near you at all times and beware of shady characters nearby!i certainly learnt my lesson.
ps. it might be worth informing the police of the incident, to save anyone else being targeted

Either that,or you were just on a low ebb.Alcohol can be vicious by itself if you are a bit run down. But 4 drinks, and getting those sort of reactions, sounds to me like it was spiked. You should have got a urine test, and informed club owner that there is a creep around.
