I would go see your doctor and ask him if you think you are overweight. Their are many factors that the doctor will consider. They will look at the weight chart. This chart goes by how old you are and how tall you are. This will tell you what you should weight. Their are other things that the doctor may consider. One thing they may consider is bone structer. For example if your big bone, it may not be physically possible or healthy to meet your weight chart. The doctor may also how much you eat. If you eat normal, then you should be fine. If you drink alot of soda, then this may be cause you to gain extra weight. Just one can a day for a year can cause you to gain 15 pounds in a year. Thats alot for just one can imagine someone drinking 2-3 cans a day. I heard this on the news. If you drink diet pop, you should be fine. Their may be also other factors the doctor may consider if you are over weight, but im not sure what they are. If you are over wight your doctor will tell you what you have to do to lose weight. I hope this helps you.

I beleive the weight range for a female @ 5'7'' is between 135-145 so no not over weight, but if you feel less toned (firm) than you'd like to be...exercize. My daughter is 14 5'7" and her weight ranges from 143-147, shes got a little meat on her bones, but uh i cant seem to fight the boys off fast enough, so...
But be confident and love yourself... you are so much more tha a # on the scale! take care...

Your BMI(body mass index) is 22.4 this puts you in the 81 percentile which indicates you are at a healthy weight. The healthy weight range for your age and height is 100-148 pounds.

Underweight:
Less than the 5th percentile

Healthy weight: Between the 5th and the 85th percentiles

At risk for overweight: Between the 85th and 95th percentiles

Overweight: Higher than the 95th percentile

For your age any BMI between 15.7 - 25.0 is healthy

The best BMI is 19-21...

But your fine you are tall and you are most likely going to grow another 2 inches or so...be thankful there are people wishing they were as tall as you are!

The question should be...Do you think you are fat? Body perception is most important to the person looking back in the mirror. You should look beyond what you see in the mirror, and access if how you feel about yourself inside and if that is affecting the way you perceive your body. If you work on your inward beauty - then the outward will come. And only shallow-goofs care about the outside anyway. In addition, you are only 14 and have many years to go - your looks will change a zillion ways by the time you reach true adulthood which is about 30 years old.

It is all about how you feel. Be happy with yourself. You are young so stay healthy and exercise and eat right. But no matter what respect and love yourself. I know it sounds corny but it is the truth. I am a huge advocate of exercise and eating right to stay healthy and fit and that is the only reasoning I am telling you that. If you start now you will start something that will keep in shape for life.

No, you sound like an average to skinny girl to me. You can't always look at weight in numbers (143 lbs), because you are tall, you are going to weigh more, it doesn't mean your fat - your length makes up for the weight. Don't worry about your weight, you are not fat.

No, sweetie. At 5'7 or near, you are fine. At that height, I wouldn't get even a little worried unless I was wearing size 14 or larger. Even then, I probably wouldn't tear myself up over it.

BTW, everyone knows that girls are insecure about their weight, so if some fiend ever says to you that you are fat, it is just because they are trying to hurt or manipulate you. Please don't believe them. At your age, I know it can be hard to differentiate between the truth and B.S.

May you know the Lord Jesus, and have peace.

Being "fat" is more about body composition than weight, because muscle is heavier than fat. And the most important thing is your health.

Just consume primarily healthy, natural foods and beverages, and be active! At 13, your body is just starting to go through many changes, so don't stress about it as long as you are living a healthy lifestyle.

Since it's winter and you might not be able to get outside, just dancing to your favorite songs in your room is a great way to burn calories. Basic calisthenics (like push-ups, sit-ups, lunges and squats) are a good way to help keep your muscles strong and toned without making them bulky. If you can get a friend to join you, it's even more fun - and fun is what makes it really work!
