48 hours, yikes - are you sure. I have never heard of any fasting for medical tests longer than 24 hours. Can you call and recheck and see if that is correct.

The blood from a pregnant mom is barely the mum's DNA. the only paternity attempt which could come from a pregnant lady is the amniotic fluid contained in the uterus surrounding the fetus. If a cleansing soap used a pregnant lady's blood as a narrative source, they made an blunders. You have been clever sufficient to point that out

Hi there !
Thats stupid ! whoever has told thiat !
For any testing involving fasting, usually advised protocol is "6 or 8 hours fasting" only !
Some "special tests" require may require maximum 12 hours fasting..not all...
Who ever has told this, ask them to refer to "Text book of Todd and sanford" please !
"Dont get panicky" ! No problems are without solutions !
Best wishes !

I just had to fast overnight, or at least 8 hours before my blood draw. That was to check my glucose level and cholesterol.

I'd call them and check. I've never heard of it either, usually only 12 hours is required.
