1) Train an alternate behavior like sit/stay, down/stay or "go to your place". Whenever people come over, insist that she does one of these things. She cannot jump and hold a stay at the same time.
2) Make sure she is getting a good-quality diet, not cheap bargain food.
3) see above. Oatmeal shampoo and regular brushing will help (yes, I know she doesn't have much hair but regular brushing with a bristle brush or soft slicker will remove dead hair and stimulate the skin to produce natural oils to make it shine and ease the dandruff.)

Sometimes the people on here amaze me ... at how STUPID they are!
DO NOT TRAIN YOUR DOG NEGATIVELY, NO MATTER WHAT THEIR BEHAVIOR IS!!!
To stop jumping on guests when they arrive:
Have a friend practice with you ... it might take an hour or so, just to warn you.
Have them come to the door, as normal.
When they come in, when the dog jumps, the guest must simply say "off", cross their arms, turn away from the dog, and completely IGNORE her. This will teach the dog that jumping does not get her attention.
AS SOON AS ALL FOUR FEET are on the floor, praise her!! Tell her how good she is, and give her a treat.
If she jumps up again, repeat the previous instructions.
Keep practicing this, and she will soon learn that it is good manners to greet guests with all four on the floor :o)

I agree with you Alicia. I read answers on here and wonder how the average idiot gets through life. I wish there was a screening process where you have to have an IQ over 80 to own a dog.
You need to train your dog to sit/stay when people come over. You NEVER hit a chihuahua...they are so small you could seriously hurt them. Please buy a training book or take him to obedience classes. As far as the skin goes, an oatmeal shampoo is great, but it sound like something is missing in his diet. Try switching her food to something holistic...no corn, or by-products. www.naturapet.com Hope that helps!

wow. a triune question.
jumping-ask your guests to give the dog a !LIGHT! tap on the stomach w/ their knee when it jumps.it will knock the dog back.theyt should not do it so hard that the dog falls.
dandruff and dry skin-
dont bathe her more than once a week. high quality puppy food is a must!excercise, beleive it or not does halp a little.brush your dogs coat gently with a flea comb three times a week.it will get rid of dead and falling off hair.it will also help the undercoatr which is important.
HOPE I HELPED!!x)~
