No cook instant pudding?

How do they make it?? What do they put in it to make it firm up. I know it isn't gelatin.

The usual preparation is for sugar and other added ingredients to be solidified by means of some gelling or structural agent, including cornstarch, gelatin, eggs, tapioca (cassava), and other starches.
