Thanks for asking this question...
To an Indian, Pakistan means a part taken away from their country. To tell you the truth the feeling is not very good and we genarally blame the politicians present at that time for this.
However, we Indians also have a strong sense of belongingness towards the people of Pakistan... after all we were originally one. It's like separation of two brothers over property (Zameen, Jaaydaad etc.). They both love each other but are waiting for the other to make the first move.
Unhe ye zid thee ke hum bulaate...
Hume ye ummeed wo pukaaren.
Hai naam hothon pe ab bhee lekin...
Aaawaaz mein pad gayee daraaren.
Let's hope that the two countries will forget all the negative feelings and join hands to become super powers in days to come.
Now about Islam. To me, as an individual, Islam means a religion which is very strict in implementation of its rules... On one hand this is truely wonderful since the rules keep us on track (prevent us from losing our values). On the other hand, if we are too rigid about rules then we may lose some opportunities.
The perception may change from individual to individual and what I gave was my own feeling without doing any study or home-work on the subject. I request you to give your perception of Islam as an answer to your own question.
Thanks again for the question.

Is it a religious or a political question? When Pakistan was formed, greetings were placed on record by all countries incuding India(Bharat) and its leaders. Islam is a respected religion of India. Eid messages are sent by Indian elite to Indian Muslims and to Muslim governments all over. Every year, once during the month of fasting,breaking-fast(Iftaar) dinner is served by the President/PrimeMinister of India to all the Diplomats from Muslim countries, and to the elite Indian Muslims. These are the 'views' as well as the 'news'... for you as the answer to the question.

My view is that Pakistan is a country which I am planning to visit next for my vacation soon, while Islam is a religion of peace.
Salaam to all.

An Indian may have enough reasons to express his/her anger against Pakistan and so do a Pakistani.
But Pakistan is really a wonderful country. It is a developing country with lot of resources to be exploited.
It has a great culture and tradition which are really inseparable from Indian legacy. It is not just Pakistanis who boast about Mohanjadaro and Harappa, but Indians alike.
But a sad thing is that unlike its wonderful people, the Pakistani governments are all out to damage their brethren in their great neighbouring country, India.
As of the religion, Pakistanis seem to be ardent believers more than their Arab counterparts. Pakistan has produced great Islamic theologists who brought fame to their motherland. A world citizen is very much curious to see that Pakistan is no more the headquarters of the world terrorism.

hi, I'm reading a book about Islam and Afghanistan, I'm enjoining it very much. Here in Brazil we don't have many opportunities to know what relay is happening there in this region. the book that i am reading is from a Brazilian reporter.
I' d like know more about this question.
First of all I think we need respect all kind of culture and religion. We need be careful to don't mix and confuse all a people by a part of radicals.
If you like this subject and want talk more about it, i realy would like it very much.
I always wanted know an Indian to argue about subjects in common in our countries. I image we have many troubles to decide and i think that many of them are the same.

PAKISTAN IS A COUNTRY WITHOUT CONTROLLING OF THE GOVERNMENT. THE PEOPLE OF PAKISTAN CAN NOT BELIEVE IN THEIR OWN LEADERS. IT IS COUNTRY OF TERRORISTS WHERE ALL THE BAD PEOPLE TAKE SHELTER. REGARDING ISLAM IS GOOD RELIGION BUT SOME PEOPLE ARE MISUSING ITS NAME FOR THEIR OWN BENEFITS.
