No, a stick is 1/2 a cup so use 2 stick of butter. This is pretty universal so it shouldn't matter what brand of butter you use. If you are using the high fat butter, some gourmet brands do come in 1 cup bricks. It will be printed on the wrapper.

Nope. 1 stick is 1/2 cup of butter. So you'd need 2 sticks.
